Temporary Ring road during demolition of viaduct Merksem, Antwerp

The viaduct in Merksem will be demolished as part of the Oosterweel Link in Antwerp. The Ring will be rebuilt in an open trench before entering a tunnel under the Albert Canal. During the demolition and subsequent works, a temporary ring road of 5km will be constructed. SBE is responsible for the design within the TM Sturino (SBE + Royal HaskoningDHV + Tractebel), commissioned by TM ROCO. Preparatory works will start in summer 2021.
