Building sluices at the Bunt project at Hamme!

The construction works at the De Bunt project in Hamme are well underway! Two sluices are being built there as part of the Sigma plan. By allowing the tide to enter this area, the tidal nature of rare mudflats and marshes will become breathtaking. Several times per year, the area will also act as a flood control area to reduce the flood risk along the river Scheldt. SBE is responsible for the complete design and tender dossier on behalf of De Vlaamse Waterweg nv.
